OUR STORY

BTL Construction LLC was created in East Hampton, Connecticut in 2015. The primary focus of the compnay at the time was to repair or replace curbside mailboxes and or mailbox posts. As the compnay grew so did the demand for our products and services. Consequently, We’re constantly envisioning ways to satisfy the needs of our customers, and it was through that desire that The DualStand was conceived.

The DualStand is a no dig post that can be weighted with between 100 to 200 pounds for significant stability. All joints are welded to ensure significant strength. We added half inch threaded rods and hexagon couplings to allow the feet to adjust. Customers can also have the stand power-coat to help resist rust.

The idea behind the DualStand was to create a mailbox post that could act as a backup to someone’s primary post. Far too often during the harsh winter month’s the company is contacted about down mailboxes caused by snowplows. Most of our customers are not familiar, or have the availability, to install a mailbox. Which would be further complicated when the ground is frozen solid. However by having a DualStand ready to be installed it would take mere minutes to have your mail.

THE UPGRADE

Securing a mailbox post in a bucket filled with concrete or sand has been a reliable backup for years. However the finish product was not without its problems. Problems such as:

very cumbersome to move around
the bucket would tilt if not placed on an even surface
top heavy which made it unstable at times
unsightly

Difference in models explained: there is a slight but significant difference between Models A and B. The opening where the weighted bucket is placed is larger on the model A. So, both the metal or canvas cover can fit that model where as in the model B only the canvas cover will fit. It’s Purely a matter of esthetics between the two.

*disclaimer: The DualStand is significantly weighted to keep it stable. However with sufficient force any object can be moved. So depending on the amount of snow thrown at the stand it may move.
